EDITOR'S NOTE, SEPTEMBER 18, 2008:

AND THE NOMINEE IS... PART II
____________________________________

Can our community and any and all communities tired of clawing at one another stand as one in pride and take this moment in history to another level?

I know we can, but will we? Will we put the BS aside and look closer at the bigger picture? What images are out there of a solid and unique figure in leadership who truly is positive and passionately wants change?? What jobs have Republicans gotten and had no experience in and been allowed the opportunity to F-up just because they look the part or their father or someone knew someone who knew someone? I’m ready to give a man a chance on the interview and the way he positions his ideas for the company called America instead of merely looking to see if the pedigree is a cookie cutter mold of what hasn’t really worked but was manipulated and brainwashed to look like it worked? Follow me now.

Don’t allow the smoke and mirrors of these past weeks deter you from doing your own research and forming your own opinions and sticking to them. Look at the audience at the republican convention versus the democratic one and see which audience best represents an America where everyone is represented and not an elitist club who makes you reminisce of crisp white sheets blowing in the dark winds.

I want an organizer who can facilitate change and encourage democracy instead of perpetuating the same old recessive traits that have caused me to have to pay so much on the dang pump that I don’t visit my family and friends without thinking twice. I want to go back to the days when I first stated my business when milk and honey didn’t trickle down but that was clearly available to me if I earned it instead being taken from my every turn. If experience is why I have been fighting to make tougher decisions of survival and taking fewer chances to meet my dreams, then why on earth would I not be ready for change and others that I see just like me – why would you not be ready for something new too and not just going for a token white woman? Even I know that the people who voted for Hillary, wanted a Democratic Hillary or not at all.

Bottom line- I really hope that we can one day give kids of all colors and creeds and the world more to hold in their regards for our men and women of other than garden tools and pimps- I’m ready to defy the words of Tupac and have him raise up from his peaceful slumber taking back his words that the world you and I live in “Aren’t ready to have a black president.”

If you are with me- Raise Up & Speak To Your Neighbor!

Signed,

I’m Ready For A President Who Represents Me & You Too – With Pride!

QUOTES FROM OUR READERS:

"Thank you. This was even more enlightening about MLK. Thank you for sharing." -P. Schulz; January 20th, 2008.

"Given this is an election year, I would like to see some verbiage on politics.  I'm a heartfelt person, so I like reading about relationships and love as well. Thanks." -J. Marbury; February 1st, 2008.

"Lady...[I] Love receiving the newsletter...Thanks for keeping us...in the know." -S. Thompson; February 7, 2008.

"Hi, Politics is such a hot topic right now. Especially now that I am finding predominantly white churches are fowarding the chain email regarding Barack Obama (accusations of him being a Muslim and his mom was a white atheist). I find religion fits in with it because religious people are being very hypocritical in terms of his mother being an athiest (or once was). I have heard of heated debates through emails regarding this and have had one of my own. Also, love…we love to talk about love! Whether we have it or not…it is always an interesting topic. I’d love to hear from the men in regards to the dating scene in Charlotte." -A. Williams; February 7, 2008.

"Visit www.obamaviralvote.com." -D. Monroe, The Soulful CEO of www.4DaSoul.com; February 14, 2008.

"You Got Your Sexy Back! I am so glad to see the old (In The Know Report) in all it's glory back. You do what others are too trying to do!" -D. Davis; May 2, 2008.

"Thank you for your continued superior efforts. I really appreciate the detailed report. It is very helpful. Keep doing what you do!" -R. Thompson; August 22, 2008.

A Special Thank You Goes Out To Everyone Who Offered Feedback!
